Grisby Square and TxDOT ROW Join District

The Energy Corridor District received City of Houston approval to extend its boundaries along IH-10 and SH 6 to include TxDOT right-of-way in the Energy Corridor and the bustling restaurant quarter along Grisby Road and Fort Smith Street. Now you can dine in the District at Lupe Tortilla, Lomonte’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar, Las Ventanas, North China, Watson’s House of Ales, Salata, Subway and Ginger Thai Cuisine.

Eldridge Place Earns LEED Gold Certification

Eldridge Place Earns LEED Gold Certification

Energy Corridor’s Eldridge Place One and Eldridge Place Two recently achieved Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification for real estate company Behringer Harvard. LEED is the national benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. These buildings join the ranks of Three Eldridge place which achieved Gold LEED Certification in March 2010.

KBR Moving to the Energy Corridor

KBR Moving to the Energy Corridor

KBR Inc. has signed an 11-year lease on 78,000 square feet in the Eldridge Oaks building located at 1080 Eldridge Parkway. With an option to retain an additional 130,000 square feet in the building, KBR could ultimately occupy more than half of the available space in the building that has remained empty since its completion more than a year ago.

Mark Your Calendars To Participate in “Scouting for Food”

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will take to the streets on two consecutive Saturdays - January 29 and February 5 for their annual “Scouting for Food,” benefiting area food pantries. During the first Saturday, January 29, scouts will distribute door hangers explaining the program and instructions on how to participate. The following Saturday, February 5, the scouts will collect donations from participating households to donate to the local food pantry chosen by each individual troop.
