Shorten Commute Time With METRO’s 75 Energy Corridor Connector

Shorten Commute Time With METRO’s 75 Energy Corridor Connector Yolanda Kinmon’s, a security officer in the Energy Corridor District, entire morning schedule revolved around her bus route to work. For the past three years, Kinmon took the 82 Westheimer bus then transferred to the 53 Briarforest and arrived at work at 6:45 a.m. The second leg of her 45 minute commute was the most stressful part of her daily commute. Kinmon woke up half an hour earlier for fear she would miss the 53 Briarforest bus and have to wait 30 minutes for the next bus. If that happened, she would be late to work.

“Being late to work isn’t an option, especially when you are a security officer,” Kinmon said.
Recently, a METRO bus operator recommended a new, simpler and shorter route for Kinmon. She still takes the 82 Westheimer in the morning, but instead of transferring on the 53 Briaforest, she hops on the 75 Energy Corridor Connector METRO bus route.

Now she can sleep a little later and catch the 6:15 a.m. bus. But, instead of taking the 53 Briarforest for a 35 minute ride, she now hops on the 75 Energy Corridor Connector METRO bus for a five minute ride, and still arrives to work earlier than she would have had she followed her former bus schedule.

Metro BusBy using the new 75 Energy Connector, Kinmon gets to sleep a little later, cuts 25 minutes out of her daily commute and arrives to work earlier. Perhaps more importantly, the 75 Energy Connector has taken the stress out of commuting. “I enjoy the [75 Energy] Connector because it runs every 15 minutes in the mornings, and I don’t have to go out of my way to take it,” said Kinmon. “That way I don’t have to worry about missing a bus or being late.”

The 75 Energy Connector provides Kinmon with a much easier commute; maybe it can simplify your route – and your life – as well. Give the 75 Connector a try! Also, don’t forget about the mid-day express either. The 75 Energy Corridor Connector METRO bus route runs every 10 minutes during the lunch hour making it easy for you to hop on the bus, grab some lunch and make it back to your office in an hour. The 75 Connector runs every 10–15 minutes Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. For route or schedule information, call 713-635-4000 or go to www.75Connector.org.
