Energy Corridor Recycles Day 2016 is November 19!

Clear out electronic and household/office clutter, while helping Mother Earth

Join the Energy Corridor District for the 8th Annual Energy Corridor Recycles Day, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19th, where you can properly dispose of e-waste, reduce clutter and help Mother Earth!

It all takes place at the Addicks Park & Ride, 14230 Katy Fwy, where volunteers from The District and its Energy Corridor Recycles Day sponsors will be ready to help unload your unwanted stuff to make sure it is sustainably disposed of, reclaimed or recycled.

Energy Corridor Recycles Day will accept a huge variety of unused electronics, from computers, mice, keyboards, drives, printers and servers to phones, cameras, game consoles, VCRs, stereos, drives, monitors, media, fax machines and more. Even your hair styling utensils, alarm clocks and electric fans.

At West Houston's largest e-waste recycling event you can sustainable purge your:

  • unused electronics
  • documents (with secure, confidential shredding)
  • textiles, clothes and shoes
  • toys
  • household recyclables

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of electronics waste – with the potential to leak toxic chemicals into the environment – have been collected by The Energy Corridor District and its event sponsors during the annual Energy Corridor Recycles Day events.

For the second year in a row, certified electronics recycling will be provided by CompuCycle, which has been delivering end-of-life IT asset management services since 1996. CompuCycle is Houston's first company to be Responsible Recycling (R2) certified.

Your company or organization can participate as a sponsor or by providing volunteers. Contact Rachael Weaver, community relations coordinator for The Energy Corridor District, at rweaver@energycorridor.org.

Energy Corridor Recycles Day is sponsored by ConocoPhillips, CompuCycle, Republic Services and Shred Pro Services, LLC.

Start collecting your unused electronics, textiles, toys, old documents and more and bring them to Energy Corridor Recycles Day 2016, Saturday, November 19.
