Have you ever imagined listening to classical music and pairing it with the visual artistry of hip-hop dance? This April you will have the chance to witness this unusual collaboration at ECHOrchestra’s annual Spring concert entitled “Dance, Dance, Dance” featuring Fly Dance Company.
On April 21, 2017 at BridgePoint Bible ECHOrchestra will perform classical and contemporary musical masterworks from around the world with a common theme: music inspired by dance. ECHO’s repertoire for this event includes works from Arturo Marquez, Tchaikovksy, Stravinksy, Bach, Copland, and Dvorak. Fly Dance Company will share the stage with ECHO on “Hoe-Down” from Rodeo by Copland and J.S. Bach Concerto for 2 Violins. The concert will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, April 21st at BridgePoint Bible Church, 13277 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. Tickets are $20 and kids 12 and under are free.
Fly Dance Company is based in the Spring Branch District of Houston, TX. They offer entertaining, clean-cut, fun concert performances as well as educational shows and workshops. They preform theatrical hip-hop, which means they consider acting an essential part of the style.
